Santa at Sweet Cece's

A year ago we had THE BEST Santa experience at Sweet Cece's Las Cruces so I decided to take photos for it this year and help raise money for St Judes. It was fun to see so many friends there with their kids and meet new people too. It meant 2 nights of Santa photos and some time away from family right before Christmas but it was for a good cause and my family got to come last night!

They were just so excited to be there! They just love Sweet Cece's!! The frozen yogurt is delicious and the toppings are so much fun!!! And this time there was Santa and presents!
Enjoying her tasty treat... she didn't know what was coming...

Archie was eager to talk to Santa this year and he told him he wanted an art set and something else that he wasn't going to ask for (I'm guessing the something else was a tractor that he saw at Tractor Supply that was over our Christmas budget).

Caleb was a bit nervous to talk to Santa and I didn't hear if he said anything to him but he asked me for a cake, with frosting and sprinkles and stripes on it. Isn't that the cutest!?!

I was surprised that Lulu was this fine with Santa but it didn't last!!
I think if she could articulate what she wanted for Christmas it would be a horse and a baby doll.
Lulu was keeping an eye on Santa!
At the end of the evening she was a happy girl, even though she hated sitting on Santa this year....

Here's proof she loved it last year:

Pumpkin Photos And Thankful Thoughts

Earlier this week I got out with the kids and finally did our annual pumpkin photos! I wanted to keep things simple this year. All of the kids got their own tiny pumpkin and we had a good time with these photos together.

This one makes me think that they were all laughing at someone but I took the kids all by myself... maybe there was a ghost on this abandoned property.

I'm so grateful for the beautiful orchard behind out house. I hope it always stays an orchard.

Archie took this one.

I really love this girl and her outfit!

So the 2nd half of these photos were taken behind our house. The irrigated water brings up tiny shells from the Rio Grande and they are treasures.

She noticed a neighbor's horses and was so excited.

Lulu is not loving to have her hand held these days...
The sky was pretty amazing that night.

This girl!

We had a few sunflowers pop up after the fall monsoons and they are so pretty!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I get to host it with most of my family coming over and a little bit of Jacob's family coming over to our new house. Today I am grateful for a big dinning room and a house that has room for family to stay. I really love our house and I'm so grateful for the land that came with it. I look forward to our own small orchard, a big garden and some green pastures full of animals. I am so thankful for my family that I get to share all of this with.

I'm grateful for my camera! I get to preserve so much beauty in our family and freeze the adorableness of these children. I love the adventures we get to go on together. How may 4 year olds get to go on private tour of an airport to do their birthday photos? I LOVED watching the boys awe over the planes taking off. I will always remember their love of the white gypsum sands and their excitement over a candy shop made just for them. My camera has provided me with a creative outlet and a chance to talk to adults (stay at home mom problems)... and of course it helps us be more financially prepared. I am also thankful for so many amazing clients!!

Above all, I am grateful for my loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I know they hear my prayers and love me. I feel their blessings in abundance!

Halloween 2016

The man with the yellow hat (from Curious George), an army guy, and a dog.
Caleb wore this a couple of years ago. Fun costume for this age.

Archie was so done taking photos... also, my mom convinced him to be something other than a dinosaur, even thought that was his first choice. He asked to be a Pterodactyl, which isn't technically a dino, as Archie reminded me.
This was all my mom's idea. She asked Caleb if he wanted to be all kinds of things and he said no to all of them and yes to this.
Oh, random thing to remember about today, the sheep got out and into a neighbor's yard. Thankfully we were contacted by another neighbor and we got them back.
