Caleb And The Spoon

Lately, Caleb has been attached to spoons like a security blanket. He will crawl around with them everywhere and get all kinds of upset if we have to take one away so that we can wash it.

Caleb had the time of his life feeding himself yesterday. He was sitting there on the kitchen floor with a play pot and a spoon he had thrown on the floor earlier and he was making all the right motions. So we figured we would give him some applesauce in a bowl and let him have at it since we needed to mop the floor anyway. He actually ate most of it without too much of a mess until he decided he was done and dumped the whole bowl on the floor upside down.

That's how you do it!

Trying out the applesauce with his fingers.

Archie had to get right behind Caleb as soon as I got the camera out.

Family Road Trip

25+ hours in the car.
2 hotels.
1 night at grandma's house.
2 boys in diapers.
1 play date at a park.
1 baby blessing.
8 new friends.
16 family members hugged.
Countless beautiful sites.
1 speeding ticket.
1 perfectly timed poop blowout.
1 written warning for speeding.
1 missing wedding band.
156 pictures taken.

Don't worry, I'm not posting all of them! We went to Utah for a baby blessing. A lady that Jacob taught on his mission named her baby after her missionaries and invited us to come for the blessing. It was quite the road trip but it was fun and totally worth it.

P.S. If anyone between Las Cruces and Salt Lake City happens to see a white gold wedding band with, "Ich liebe dich" inscribed on the inside please let us know!

Caleb finally getting a "normal meal" after 2 days on the road.
Behind our hotel in Lehi, there was the most beautiful park. Archie has gotten a bit camera shy. :(
