Caleb 10 Months

Time is flying! It's hard to believe that Caleb is already 10 months old.

He loves to pull himself up on everything and cruise around. He'll stand up unsupported for a bit. He is teething (2 teeth now) and will bite our knees when we sit.

Caleb's current favorite foods: sliced fresh pears and Cheerios, he can't get enough of these. Oh and he'll eat anything if I mix in a little applesauce. He still isn't a big eater over all.

He follows us everywhere. I am Mary and he is my little lamb. We keep a toddler gate in the hallway so that Archie can have some potty training privacy. But it is pretty adorable when he follows me to his room and practically climbs up on my lap so that I can rock him before bed.

He is such a sweet little thing. He will always act like he wants to be held and then squirm and wiggle like crazy once we are holding him. When he is tired he will come and rest his head on one of us. He is always happy to play with us he loves to knock over block towers and read books (although it's difficult to read him books because he is so grabby).

Check out how long his hair is getting!

I love how his profile is obscured because his cheeks are so fat!

He still has some gorgeous, big, deep blue-gray eyes.

Standing boy.
He really could be good at ballet.

Our Trip To The New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum

We went to the Farm and Ranch Museum and loved it. Here are a few of my favorite photos from our trip.

Archie loved the tractors.

Caleb playing peekaboo with me and my camera.

We got to see a nail being made.

We let Caleb out of his stroller to play around the playroom. We set him on this bridge and he stayed there for about 10 minutes until I took him off and then he went and explored.
This is a pretty awesome plié.

He stayed there forever. I think he thought he wasn't allowed to get off of the bridge.

Playing together.

He loves his books these days.

My Favorite Things

So my boys are adorably cute whenever they are not whining. Here are just a few specific things that I find so awesome about each of them that it makes their cuteness factor go up just a little bit.

Archie:
This boy has gotten into the sweetest habit of picking me flowers. We have this weed in our front yard that has grown into a small bush that blossoms. The flowers are tiny, too small for a vase or glass, but it is the best feeling when such a cute little boy hands me a flower.

He is so smart with his colors. When we read together, I try to ask him questions and I am not always too creative so I will ask something like, "What do you see?" He will respond by pointing to different things and naming them and their colors, like this, "blue car... red dog... It's a duck. It's yellow." We love to paint together and the other day he painted a green fish using blue and yellow. He probably didn't plan on it but he noticed and said, "I made green!"

We usually still help him pray a lot, but the other day he went ahead and said a whole prayer without any help. He even said that he was thankful for Caleb.

Caleb:
He loves a good head bonk. It is such a sweet sign of affection for him. He loves to give and receive them as long as they are fairly gentle (Archie can be a little rough). He will give me one when I ask him for one. He often laughs after like it's THE funniest game ever.

He is such a round, rolly, off-the-charts big, fat baby. It is widely assumed by anyone who looks at his cheeks that he loves to eat. So not true. His favorite baby sign is "all done" which he often uses about 3 bites into a meal.

He follows us everywhere. This is fantastic, except when we are going to the bathroom, which is a lot since Archie is potty training. It really is convenient that I don't have to carry him from room to room because I know that he will follow us and not get into loads of trouble. He really does love to be around us and play near/with us.

I love these boys to pieces! They are growing and changing and learning so fast. I am so blessed to be their mother. They really are two of my favorite things.

Caleb 9 Months

Baby Caleb is 9 months now!

When he weighed in at his check up this month he actually weighed LESS than he did last time he was at the doctor's. He was sick (again) and he may have lost weigh from that but it could also be that he is CRAWLING now. He's been at it for about a month now since this post is a bit late.

He got his first tooth and it seems like his next one is starting to poke through. His separation/stranger anxiety is in full force. He loves a gentle head bonk.

One afternoon when Archie was napping and Caleb wasn't, Caleb crawled all over the house and wound up pawing at his brother's bedroom door. He really loves his brother. They have more and more fun playing together although it is still hard to share.
He pointed to a book I had just read him and then said "book". He mimics sounds and babbles nicely. He has started to pull himself to standing. He will sometimes walk while holding our fingers. He is learning new things so fast!

 Love this boy!

Here he is demonstrating the itsy bitsy spider. He still loves to do the motions with us.

Exploring the alfalfa.

Sitting in the wheelbarrow.
So this is about how happy he was most of the photo shoot. He was tired...
He looks so angelic when he is sleeping.

 A few more smiles.
