Five Years Ago...

I came home from my mission. It was hard to leave but it was right. I started dating my husband right away and we have now been married for a little over 4 years. We have two of the best little future missionaries. I am so blessed. Serving the Lord and sharing His gospel was a great experience. It really prepared me for marriage and motherhood. It is hard to believe that so many wonderful blessings have come in so short a time. I am so grateful for the Savior and all of the miracles, great and small that he has brought into my life, especially those in the last five years. I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

Caleb 8 Months

Yep, he is a whole eight months old now. His favorite things are peek a boo and the itsy bitsy spider. He will hold a blanket or a ball in front of his face and peek at you with the biggest smiles and he even does the motions to the itsy bitsy spider when the mood strikes.

He is starting to actually eat food but I wouldn't say that he likes it. He will eat up to a fourth of a cup at a time. He will sometimes feed himself tiny pieces.

We finally got him falling asleep on his own and he sleeps all night long on most nights.

He has said "Mama" a few more times and will occasionally mimic sounds/words in our conversions. He starting to sign "eat" in addition to his first sign "milk".

He isn't quite crawling yet but he is interested and trying. Maybe if he wasn't 25lbs he'd be zipping along by now. He still likes to sit and play with toys but his desire to get places is getting more obnoxious.

He gets so sad that he almost always throws a little fit when an immediate family member leaves the room even if one of us is still right next to him.

He is my sunshine, my joy, my schatz, my little tub of baby goodness. I love him so.

Did I mention that he is 25lbs!?
He is such a round little thing.

He has got such a modelesque look with those big serious eyes and pouty lips; totally Blue Steel.

This was a smile captured during a game of peek a boo.
Archie just wanted to run around rather than sit for a picture.

My Hot Husband

I really loved the way that Jacob looked tonight just relaxing in the back yard. I can't help but think how incredibly good looking he is.

He is also funny, intelligent, and a great father. I am so blessed.

Happy Sunday!

It was so nice to have Jacob at church the whole time today. He is on a crazy schedule at work and he missed a couple of Sundays. Thankfully this only happens a few times a year. I really like sitting with this hunk and he is great with keeping the boys entertained church. Anyway, these pics were all taken after church- that's right Caleb made it through 3 hours with only one outfit this time around, barely.

After I showed Archie Caleb's bow tie for church I asked him if he wanted to wear a bow tie (gray) too he said, "No, I wanna wear a blue one like Caleb."

Oh and I cut my hair yesterday. It's SHORT. I'm not sure if I like it yet.

I had to get another photo of this little guy in the tiny bow tie. Although, I shouldn't call him little since he is a 25lb almost 8 month old.

Rainy Day

We had rain this afternoon so Archie got geared up in his monkey rain boots and his rain coat and played outside IN THE RAIN!! It's kind of a big deal here in Las Cruces.

 All ready to go outside.

 He had a good time.

Pipe cleaner attached to the boots. He is crafty.

It is so gray and lovely.
Caleb stayed in for the event. He isn't feeling to great today but I think he is on the mend. In other news he is slowly but surely making progress on the getting around and trying to crawl thing.

Painitng Inspired Photos

My very talented great grandma painted my brother and I when we were about the age of my boys now. She died a while ago so she can't paint my boys but her painting inspired me to try to get some similar photos of my boys now. I got a few other fun ones too. Enjoy.

I love these ones of them playing together.

Kisses!
He doesn't seem to like football yet but that's just because it doesn't taste very good.

Library Love

So we have been going to the library more often lately. There is a program for babies that works out with our nap schedule most of the time. The boys seem to really like all of the mother goose rhymes and songs and of course, the library is just a fun place to go...

Archie loves his time on the computer.

Caleb trying out some broth while Archie played.

Don't let these two pics fool you Archie loves to run around and play in the fire truck more than read in it.

In general running around is a favorite.

They played together for a bit!
Archie is always my helper, pushing the stroller opening doors and checking out books!
