German Babies

We fist had one of these at a bed and breakfast on our honeymoon. They are fluffy, eggy and delicious right out of the oven.

They are traditionally topped with butter, powdered sugar and lemon juice. I like them better topped with butter and powdered cinnamon sugar.

They are super easy to make!

Mix together:
3 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup flour (I used whole wheat flour above)

Bake at 450 for about 15 minutes in a greased glass pie pan.

Top with butter, powdered sugar and lemon or cinnamon.

  1. I've made these quite a few times, but never in a round dish--- turns out really cool!
